Jeffrey J Dineen, DVM
Veterinarian, Practice owner
Dr. Dineen received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology from the University of NC at Chapel Hill in 1975 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in 1980. He has practiced in the Wilmington area since that time. Dr. Dineen opened his own practice in Leland, NC in 1988 and moved to the current location in Wilmington in 1991. Dr. Dineen served as program chairman and vice president of the NC Academy of Small Animal Medicine in 1985 and in 1986 became president. From 1987 to 1990, he served on the NC Veterinary Medical Association Board.
Jan G Batten, DVM
Dr. Batten received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Meredith College in 1977. She attended the University of Florida, where she received her Masters of Science degree in Veterinary Science with a concentration in parasitology in 1982. In 1985, Dr. Batten completed her training at Auburn University, where she received a DVM degree in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Batten's special interests include parasitology work and surgery.
Joanne Thompson, DVM
Dr. Joanne Thompson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from N.C. State University in 1980 and a Master of Science degree in Reproductive Physiology from Clemson University in 1983. She received her DVM degree from N.C. State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988.
Dr. Thompson has practiced in the Wilmington area since 1990 after moving here from Pennsylvania. She is certified in Canine Rehabilitation, having completed the program at the University of Tennessee in 2011.
Her special interests include canine physical therapy, ophthalmology, and working with performance dogs such as agility and hunt test dogs.
Eve Mills, DVM
Dr. Eve Mills received a Bachelor of Science degree in Laboratory Animal Science from N.C. A & T State University in 1986. She graduated from N.C. State University College of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM degree in 1990.
Since graduation she has practiced in Wilminton, Goldsboro, and Shallotte, N.C. Her special interests are preventive medicine and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Mills hobbies include raising chickens for egg production and gardening.
